Wilson Bodine enlisted 17 March 1864 as a Private and was assigned 5 May 1864 to Company E, 13th Ohio Cavalry Regiment (USA). This regiment was engaged in the Richmond-Petersburg Campaign, June 1864 to March 1865, with heavy losses in killed and wounded. Although no record of his death in military action has been found, there is no subsequent record of him.
