From the Democrat and Chronicle (Rochester, NY):
The Nov 1955 obituary of Andrew Bodine names among other survivors three sisters, Mrs. George Parlow of Adams, N.Y.; Mrs. Joseph Stewart of Newark, N.Y.; Miss Minnie Mason of Rochester. Maria Parlow (Mrs. George ) was indeed a sister, but the others appear not to be so. The July 1960 obituary of brother Abram Bodine names only one surviving sister, Mrs. George Parlow. The Nov 1961 obituary of Minnie Mason states she is the daughter of John and Kate (Lyon) Merson and names only one surviving sibling, Mrs. Joseph Stewart of Newark, NY. The 1930 census of Newark, NY lists Joseph & Mable Stewart, 35, and in their household is Kate Merson, 79, mother-in-law of William. In view of this, Minnie Morris and Mable Stewart were siblings, but not to the Bodines. Insofar as census record from 1900 to 1920 do not include these two daughters living with Peter Bodine, it is unclear as to why Andrew Bodine referred to them as sisters unless they were perhaps foster siblings.
