Agnes Loretta Clune, age 91, passed away April 29, 2012, at Kansas City Hospice House. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Jesse Bodine and Katharine Goodman Bodine on May 30, 1920. The second daughter in a family of six children, she attended St. Benedict's grade school and was a loyal alumna of Bishop Ward High School, class of 1937. She married William J. Clune in November 1944, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Wea, KS. To this union six children were born: William J. Clune, Jr., (Faith); Richard P. Clune; Kathleen A. Blessing, (Stephen); Patricia C. Acosta, (Dan); Dennis M. Clune and Jacqueline M. Clune. She is survived by all of her children and her sisters, Alice Strieby of Pottstown, PA and Louise Fleetwood, (Ed), of Belton, MO, and a brother, James Bodine, (Rita), of Kansas City, MO. Her grandchildren, whom she loved very much, include Anna Acosta, Elise Acosta, Dani Acosta, Aaron Blessing, Brooke Blessing, Carrie Parsons, J.D. Clune, William Marshall Clune, and 4 great- grandchildren. Even though her family became wide-spread, she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bill in 1967, and two of her brothers, Ralph and Richard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Bishop Ward High School. Services will be at Porter Funeral Home on Friday, May 4; visitation will be at 10, with the service at 11. Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
