1697/8, 25 Jan: Robert WICKEFF made his will. Called himself sick of body. Unto my loving brother David WICKLEFF one servant boy Samuel DUTTEN. Unto my son David WICKLEFF my plantation with all my land. In case my son David should die before he comes of age or without issue, my well beloved wife Margarett have my plantation during her life and afterward to return to my loving brother David WICKLEFF. My beloved wife Margaret have every part of my movable estate, and the other half to my son David. My well beloved wife Margarett executrix and my honored father in law Colo. William PEIRCE executor. Wits. Original BROWNE, John HIGDON, Lau ABBINGTON.
1698, 29 Jun: Inventory of Robert WICKLIFFE returned, Westmoreland Co., VA.
1698, 30 Mar: Will probated, Westmoreland Co., VA. Proved by Laurence ABBINGTON. Original BROWN is since dead and John HIGDON sick and not able to come to Court. Ordered that John HIGDON be sworne before Capt. William BRIDGES. 19 May 1698, By virtue of an order 30 Mar 1698 John HIGDON doth declare Robert WICKLEFF did sign and seal that will which I produced.
