Notes for: Ila Savannah Bodine
Thomas Bodine believes that Ila Bodine may have been named Minnie at one time. Her father then realized that his brother also had a daughter named Minnie. It has been discovered that they were living in Guntersville, Alabama at the time Ila was born. Both families lived close by. Thomas has the old family Bible which contains all the children's names. Thomas never heard Ila's mother say anything about a daughter named Minnie.
From Ronny Bodine:
Amos and Ila Ashburn were buried in Arab City Cemetery, Marshall County.
The Ashburn family was living 1930 at Grassy, Marshall County where Amos engaged in farming. The family moved to Jacksonville, Alabama where Amos worked at the Anniston Army Depot and after his retirement returned to Marshall County.
Children: Mattie Lou (2 Aug 1921), Virginia Maxine (25 Dec 1925), William Howard (15 July 1935).
