Dear Dave,
My name is Alan Curt Anderson, and my Uncle is Sturgis R. Bodine Jr. as your website indicates he is the adopted son of Margaret, and Sturgis Bodine Sr., his son Peter is also adopted as is his daughter Margie. Margie has never married (my cousin) and her brother Peter just has one daughter Ashley. Sturgis Jr's wife Patricia is my mother's step sister. Patricia and Sturgis are both alive, living in the south Seattle, Wa. Area. He Born in 1922, and she in 1926. His father as found by Ronny Bodine was president of the Cross-Bodine lumber co. ,in Seattle, Wa. I found while looking up the father, and reading his obituary from 1934?. With from notes of “Ronny Bodine”. I asked him if he knew a Ronny Bodine and wasn't able to remember, thus me finding your website. He is suffering a bit from dementia, but does have some memory. He and his wife just recently had to move out of their home of 65 years, and move into a care home. They have a diary, that I read of his grandfather who was a traveling salesman for a Chicago based perfume manufacturer. It was from year 1873 til , covered courtship, thru time of his marriage to Amanda, and Their death of their first son in childhood. The diary is remarkable, hard to read because think he was writing mostly while traveling by train to all the major cities in the country. North ,East, South, and West. Diary covered time of his courtship, marriage, and death of son. Can't remember company name , but looked it up one time, and bottle collector's collect their bottles, and Stamp collectors their stamps. There were three primary owners, and one's first name was Sturgis, have to believe it was where my uncle received his name along with his father. I can provide more dates Births etc. as well as maybe pertinent information from dairy. Let me know what may be helpful to your research. Your friend Al
