YOUNGSTOWN--Daisy P. Burrell, 70, of Youngstown, died Monday evening, June 7, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born July 8, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of Cecil and Myrtle McGlaughlin Bodine and was a life long area resident. Daisy owned and operated Daisy's Home Health Care Services for 27 years. She attended Victory Christian Center in Lowellville and enjoyed roller skating, playing the organ and gardening. Her husband, Gus J. Burrell, whom she married May 19, 1952, died May 7, 1977. She leaves her mother, Myrtle Cunnings of Struthers; a daughter, Gale Van Fosson of Youngstown; two sisters, Sally Stevens of Struthers and Rebecca Sill of New Middletown; five grandchildren, James J. Kowalski, Thomas A. Akers, Jr., Marie J. Kowalski, Jennifer L. Burkey and Mark A. Van Fosson; and two great-grandchildren, Damon L. Kowalski and Thomas V. Akers; and her companion, Jack Edwards of New Bedford, PA., and his sons, Jack and Jason Edwards. Besides her husband, her father and a daughter, Christine S. Kowalski preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
