George Gouzoules, 90, an electrician who worked on farm tractors and tanks, died Friday in Luther Village in Arlington Heights. Born in Chicago, Mr. Gouzoules retired as superintendent of electrical maintenance for International Harvester Co. after 33 years. "His hobby was his work," recalled his son-in-law, Charles Benner. "He was very giving of himself and was willing to help others." Other survivors include his wife of 66 years, Grace; his daughter, Gail Benner; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services were held Monday.

Services for Grace L. Gouzoules (nee Bodine), 89, of Buffalo Grove and formerly of Chicago and Arlington Heights, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Olson Funeral Home, 6467 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago. Born July 20, 1901, in Pierre, S.D., she died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, in Buffalo Grove. Interment will be in Irving Park Cemetery. A homemaker, Mrs. Gonzoules was also an active member of Northside Gospel Center where she was a Bible and Sunday school teacher. She was the beloved wife for 66 years of the late George Gouzoules, who preceded her in 1998; loving mother of Gail (Charles) Benner of Buffalo Grove; cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Benner of Palatine, Brian (Cyndi) Benner of Grayslake and Julie (Troy) Dokter of Holland, Mich.; and great-grandmother of Austin and Grace Benner. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Northside Gospel Missionary Fund or to the Camp Awana Building Fund.
