In June 1900, Mary Bodine, a school teacher, lived in Middletown, Orange County. Living with her were her sisters, Bertha 19 and Ethel 13.

New York, Jan 15---Miss Mary Frances Bodine was born in Middletown October 3, 1872. Her parents were John L. and Almeda Faulkner Bodine. She attended Wallkill Academy and after finishing school, she taught school at Mount Hope, Kirbytown, Goshen and Dolsontown. After her parents' death in Middletown in 1897, Miss Bodine went to New York city and entered the business world. She took up the study of stenography and bookkeeping. In 1902 she entered the employ of Jas. R. Skinner's large insurance office at 50 Pine street. She had been in tbe same office ever since. Miss Bodine was seized with a severe attack of lobar pneumonia last Tuesday. She died in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, 415 West 51st street, at 3 a. m. on Sunday. The funeral services will be held on Monday at 8 p. m., at 223 Eighth avenue. Burial in Hillside Cemetery at Middletown, on Tuesday at 12 o'clock. Miss Bodine is survived by the following sisters: Bertha and Ethel, who both hold responsible positions in New York city and Adelaide, who is married and lives in Jersey City, and one brother, John, also of Jersey City.
