In 1900, Charles Bodine lived in Lindale, Floyd County, Georgia working as a cotton picker. He reported he had been married for 5 years and his wife Mary had borne 2 children, but only their son Robert lived. He also reported his father was born in Wisconsin and his mother in Mississippi. In 1910, Robert Bodine lived in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas and worked as a house carpenter, in 1920 worked for a laundry and in 1930 was a salesman. He reported in 1910 his wife, Pearl, was his 2nd wife to whom he had been married 2 years. On 12 Sept 1918, Charles Russell Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in San Antonio, reporting he was born 15 Feb 1873 and that Pearl Bodine was nis next of kin. His Texas death certificate, no. 1955-10644 reported he suffered from meningitis and died of a heart attack at the U.S. Army Hospital on Fort Hood and was buried in Kileen City Cemetery. It further stated he was divorced and that his father was John Bodine of Wisconsin and his mother was Cynthia Ann Strange. As he lived with his wife Pearl through April 1930, his divorced would have occured thereafter. The Texas death certificate of Pearl Bodine, no. 1973-42199, states she was the daughter of Thomas Monroe and Addie (Kimbrough) Brown, died of cardiovascular disease and was buried in Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.

(Elizabeth) Parker, San Antonio. Grandsons, James R. Parker, San Antonio, John H. Parker Jr., Daly City, Calif., David K. Parker, San Antonio. Granddaughters, Mrs. Dean Covington, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mrs. Kenneth Kimes, Rome, Ga., Miss Linda Wood, Roma, Ga. 6 great-grandchildren. Graveside services and interment 2 p.m. Friday, June 7th, Sunset Memorial Park.
