David L. Burt of Missouri AND Elizabeth C. Bodine of Norristown, IN were married 16 Feb 1868 by Sam C. Noble, Methodist Minister.

The 1941 Indiana Death Certificate of Elizabeth C. Smith states she was born 16 Oct 1870 in Clarksburg, Indiana the daughter of David L. Burt and his wife Elizabeth Bodine. This is the same Elizabeth, who in 1880, lived with her father David L. Burt and his 2nd wife Anna in Fugit, Decatur County, Indiana. It appears Elizabeth Bodine Burt died between the birth of her daughter in 1870 and 14 Jan 1874 when David L. Burt married Anna Kennelty in Decatur County, Indiana.

From the Indiana Death Certificate of David LaRue Burt: born 24 Jan 1843 in Rush Co., IN; died 18 March 1927 in Indianapolis, Marion County and buried in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. W. C. Smith, informant.
