Dicey "Dee" Lou Jamerson, of Carthage, Mo., passed away Sept. 12, 2007, due to a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her family and went peacefully to her Lord, Jehovah. Dee was born July 23, 1934, in Jonesboro, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Juanita "Jones" Bodine. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Carthage. Dee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dee married William Robert Jamerson on Aug. 7, 1953, in Corinth, Miss. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, William Paul Jamerson, of Carthage, Robert Jamerson, of Liberty Hill, Texas, and Joseph Jamerson, of Osage Beach, Mo.; three daughters, DeDe Clapper, of Pierce City, Mo., and Lisa Ramos and Laura McKinzie, both of Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Stephen Bodine, of Bernice, La.; two sisters, Melissa Shaw, of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Daisy Potts, of Decatur, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Louise Wells, of Mena, Ark.; and one granddaughter, Christa Pennington. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Carthage. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage. Contributions may be given to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, of Carthage, in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.

William Robert Jamerson, age 80, of Monett, Mo., formerly of Carthage, Mo., passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Monett Health Care following a lengthy illness. William was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., the son of the late Paul M. Jamerson and Delia A. Lisenby Jamerson. William had worked for many years as a barber and later for Schreiber's in Carthage. He married Dicey Bodine on Aug. 7, 1953, in Corinth, Miss. She preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 2007. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Jamerson. Survivors include three sons, William Jamerson, of Carthage, Mo., Robert Jamerson, of Liberty Hill, Texas, and Joseph Jamerson and his wife Stephanie of Joplin, Mo.; three daughters, Delia "D.D." Clapper and her husband Jerry, of Pierce City, Mo., Lisa Ramos, of Joplin, Mo., and Laura McKenzie, of Joplin; one brother, Jim Jamerson, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Pauline Carlton, of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held a later date.
