On 5 June 1917, Comly Oakes Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. He reported he was born 8 Dec 1891 in North Bend, Pa., was married and worked as an office clerk for the Atchison Graphite Company. In 1920, Comly Bodine lived with his family in Buffalo, Erie County, New York employed as an office manager. In 1930, the family lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania where he worked as an office manager. Mary (Tate) Bodine was the daughter of Lloyd Andrew and Katherine (Schooley) Tate.

WILLIAMSPORT---C. O. Bodine, 90, of 1000 Woodmont Ave., died in his home Saturday morning. Mr. Bodine retired in 1957 as agent cashier for the U.S. Penitentiary, Lewisburg. He graduated from West Chester State College in 1912 and taught school in Northumberland County for three years before taking the government post. Mr. Bodine was a 50-year member of Watsontown Lodge 401, F&AM; and the Williamsport Consistory. He also was a member of the retired federal employees organization. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday in Williamsport.
