Miss Mildred Bodine and W. H. McElwain, of Galesburg, were married Tuesday, June 28, at Colchester, by Rev. R. A. Reeves. Miss Bodine is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bodine, of this place. Mr. McElwain is an employee of the Santa Fe railroad.

Walter Henry McElwain was born 1 Aug 1905 and died 31 Aug 1969 in Olmsted County.

Mrs. Walt (Mildred) McElwain, 59, of Kewanee, who had been employed as a dietician at the Galva Manor for five years, was killed Monday afternoon at about 4:20 pm as she was returning from Galva. The two-car crash which claimed Mrs. McElwain's life occurred on a curve on the Midland Country Club road, two and one-half miles from the Kewanee city limits. [Portions of the accident and investigation details omitted.] Funeral services for Mrs. McElwain will be held at 2 this afternoon in the West Jersey Methodist Church. Burial will be in the West Jersey cemetery. She is survived by her husband and a brother, Dale Bodine, of Sidney, Ohio. Her parents preceded her in death.
