In 1910-1930, Charles Bodine lived in Potomoc, Montgomery County working in 1910 as a farmer and 1920-1930 as a automobile machinist. On 12 Sept 1918, Charles Franklin Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Montgomery County. He reported he was born 29 March 1879, worked as a mechanic for the U.S. Government, and Francis Bodine was his next of kin. Charles Bodine was living 17 Jan 1942 when named as a survivor of his brother John in his newspaper obituary.
From The Washington Post of 19 Aug 1904: Charles Bodine and Sarah Redden and Thomas Bodine and Mary Redden, brothers and sisters, all of Cropley, Maryland, were married the previous evening in a private double ceremony at the home of the brides' brother, Oliver Redden, at 1375 F St. NE. Sarah and Mary Redden were the daughters of Thomas William and Isabel (Riggles) Redden. Their father, Thomas Redden, postmaster at Cropley, had died two months previously.

BODINE, CHARLES F. On Sunday, March 12, 1961, CHARLES F. BODINE of 10550 MacArthur blvd., Bethesda, Md., beloved husband of Sarah F. Bodine and father of Mrs. Helen V. Keys and W. Joseph Bodine. Also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, Bethesda, Md., where services will be held Wednesday, March 15, at 2 p.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.

Sarah F. Bodine, 87, died Friday at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, of complications resulting from a broken hip suffered two months ago. Mrs. Bodine and her late husband, Charles F. Bodine, operated a small stone quarry for 20 years along the C&O Canal before the federal government acquired the land fir the Dulles Airport sewer line. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen V. Keys, a son, William J., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Potomac.
