DEATH IN GREENVILLE
OF MRS. HETTIE BODINE
Mother of Well Known Hendersonian
Passes Away at Advanced Age
Death claimed Mrs. Hettie E. Bodine, mother of J. W. Bodine, of this city, at Greenville, Ky., Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence M. Martin, at the age of 80. Her death was due to advanced age. She was a noble Christian woman and was well known and loved by a host of friends both in this city and in Greenville, where she had lived for a number of years.
She is survived by one son and one daughter, Mrs. Clarence M. Martin, of Greenville, and J. W. Bodine, of this city. The remains will be brought here for interment, arriving on the 10:20 north-bound I.C. train Saturday morning. A brief service will be conducted at the grave.
The following will act as pallbearers: Dr. J. P. Williams, C. A. Katterjohn, J. Mack Stanley, G. D. Givens, S. S. Wathen, J. D, Collins, E. J. Schlamp and R. E. Cook.

FUNERAL OF MS. BODINE
The last sad rites were said over the remains of Mrs. Hettie Bodine by Dr. Cummins, pastor of the First Presbyterian church at the grave in Fernwood Cemetery Saturday morning at 10:30. The remains arrived from Greenvile, Ky., on the 10:20 north-bound I.C. train and were taken direct to the cemetery, where the short funeral service was said in the presence of a number of relatives and friends.
Acting as pallbearers were: Dr. J. P. Williams, J. Mack Stanley, J. D. Collins, C. Arthur Ketterjohn, G. D. Givens, S. S. Wathen, E. J. Schlamp and R. E. Cook.
BURIAL: Fernwood Cemetery, Henderson, Henderson Co., KY, plot no. 585. The tombstone inscription reads: Hettie E. Bodine, 1836 - 1916.
