PEORIA - Dr. Robert Young Bodine, 68, of Milwaukee, formerly of Peoria, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in Milwaukee of heart failure. Born Sept. 7, 1933, in Peoria to Donald and Irma Young Bodine , he married Claudia G. Gorecki. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Roberta Bodine; two sons, Paul and Sidney; one brother, Paul (and Virginia); and three grandchildren. A graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, the University of Kansas and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he had a doctorate in philosophy. He was a research scientist and executive at A.O. Smith and Cad Comp/MSC in Milwaukee. He also was a professor and program director at Milwaukee School of Engineering. Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Northshore Funeral Services Chapel, where visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to Milwaukee School of Engineering or the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Bodine, Ph.D, Robert Young Born September 7, 1933, died of heart failure, Sunday, February 24, 2002, surrounded by his family. Warm and tender husband of Claudia G. Bodine (nee Gorecki). Loving father of Roberta Lynn Bodine, Paul Scott Bodine, and Sidney Young Bodine and friend to their mother, Patricia Braem. Proud grandfather of Mary, Will, and Tom Prescott. Dear brother of Paul G. (Virginia) Bodine. Further survived by other relatives and many special friends. Bob was a distinguished graduate of Bradley University, University of Kansas, and UW Madison, an innovative research scientist and executive at A.O. Smith and Cad Comp/MSC, and an esteemed professor and program director at MSOE. Lover of cats and fine food, music and baseball, British cars and history--the nuanced thought, the subtler emotion, the drier wit. Above all, a true lover of America, life, living well and a gentleman to everyone he met. "Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, But laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you..." Visitation will take place on Friday, March 1, from 5-8 PM at Northshore Funeral Services Chapel with funeral services at 7 PM. Interment will be private. Robert and Patricia Bodine were divorced 30 Aug 1984 in Milwaukee and on 14 Nov 1986 in Milwaukee Patricia Bodine married Allen Charles Braem.

FAIRFIELD BAY - Patricia Ruth Hurt Braem, 84, Fairfield Bay, passed away November 8, 2016. Born July 16, 1932 daughter of late Walter and Irene Jennings Hurt. Survivors: children, Roberta Bodine, Paul (Tamami) Bodine, Sidney (Naomi) Bodine; grandchildren, Mary (Will) Chandler, Will Prescott and Tom Prescott; sister, Mary Margeret (Robert) Capen. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Presbyterian Kirk of the Hills.
