On 27 June 1944, Ralph E. Bodine of Johnson County, Kansas, enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He was born in 1924 in Kansas. At the time of his marriage both he and his wife were resident of Johnson County, Kansas.

Ralph E. Bodine, 58, Louisburg, Kan., formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Saturday at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was born in Kansas City, Kan., and had lived in Louisburg since 1966. Mr. Bodine was a farmer. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Louisburg. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Sue Bodine, and two sons, Mark Bodine and Richard Bodine, all of the home; two brothers, Richard Bodine, Overland Park, and Jim Bodine, St. Charles, Mo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Louise Fleetwood, Grandview, Mrs. Alice Strieby, Quincy, Ill., and Mrs. Agnes Clune, Overland Park. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Runyan Chapel, Louisburg, where friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m.
