OKLAHOMA CITY Mary K. Stiles (Cherryholmes) Bodine, 91, Oklahoma City, formerly of Wichita and Potwin, Kansas, passed away on January 8, 2015. She was born December 31, 1923, in Etowah, Tennessee, to Lester Stiles and Lexie Rogers Stiles and raised in Akron, Ohio. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia and Evelyn; and her first husband, Cliff Cherryholmes. She worked for the post office at Potwin and at Munger Station in Wichita. Mary was a strong, funny mother who fiercely protected her children. She worked three jobs to support her family after her first husband suffered a traumatic brain injury in an auto accident in 1964, when her children were still young. She was loved by all her family, friends, and caregivers, who enjoyed her sweet personality. She is survived by her husband, Don A. Bodine, whom she married in 1980; two daughters, Candice (Steve) Cox, of Oklahoma City; and Nancy (Bill) Wesche, of Wichita; son, John (Kathy) Cherryholmes, of Potwin; stepdaughter, Renee Bodine, of Gainesville, Fl; stepson, Phil Bodine, of Wichita; grandchildren, Chris (Lindsey) Cox, of Oklahoma City; Stephanie (Rich) Wright, of Oklahoma City; Casey (Brice) Lee, of Wichita; Jamie (Kimberly) Dain, of Oklahoma City; Cole (Nikki) Cherryholmes, of Wichita; Caleb Cherryholmes, of Hays, KS; and Karen Weiss, of Colorado Springs, CO; step-grandson, Jeremy Bozeman; great-grandchildren, Megan Cox, Pressley Cox, Michael Wright, Avery Wright, Carter Dain, Miles Dain, Hannah Lee, Nic Weiss, Ben Weiss, Sam Weiss, and Lydia Weiss; and great-great-grandson, Zachary Weiss. Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church, 629 N.W. 12th St., Moore, OK, with the Rev. Joe Wingfield officiating. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Legend At Rivendell and Centennial Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Moore Music Ministry or to your local Alzheimer's Foundation.

Don Ayars Bodine, 90, Oklahoma City, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away January 15, 2015, just one week after his wife, Mary K. Bodine, passed. Don was born July 31, 1924, in Neodesha, Kansas, to John Phillip and Mamie Fae Bodine. Don was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy for ten years. He worked in the construction industry for many years. Don was an avid fisherman and boating enthusiast and loved life in the outdoors . Don loved his dogs, especially Aggie and Dancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Jack, and his wife Mary. He is survived by a daughter, Renee Bodine, Gainesville, Florida; a son, Phil Bodine, Wichita, Kansas; grandson, Jeremy Bozeman, Pensacola, Florida; stepchildren Candice (Steve) Cox of Oklahoma City; Nancy (Bill) Wesche of Wichita, Kansas; John (Kathy) Cherryholmes of Potwin, Kansas; seven step-grandchildren, eleven step great-grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild. Graveside service will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2301 East Indian Hills Road, Norman, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015, with Reverend Joe Wingfield of First Christian Church of Moore officiating. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Legends at Rivendell and Centennial Hospice.
