In 1930, George Bodine lived in Newark, Wilson County, Kansas and worked there as a printer. He lived in the home of his his wife's parents, Charles and Kate Haney.

Bentonville---Mrs. Myrtle Haney Bodine, 75, of Bentonville, died Sunday morning at Bates Memorial Hospital. Born July 27, 1897, in Brooks, Kan., she was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, George P. Bodine of the home; one son, Melvin of North Little Rock and two grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fawcete Funeral Home Chapel in Neodesha, Kans., with burial in Grand View Cemetery. The body will lie in state today until 9 p.m. at Callison-McKinney funeral Home.

Bentonville---George P. Bodine, 73, of Cave Springs, died Tuesday in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Aug. 5, 1899 in Neodesha, Kan., he was retired from Phillips Petroleum Co., a veteran of World War 1 and a Methodist. Survivors are one son, Melvine of Little Rock; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Shumard of Tulsa and two grandchildren. The body will lie in state this evening at Callison-McKinney Funeral Chapel. Funeral and burial will be in Neodesha under direction of Faucitt Funeral Home
