Stanley A. Bodine, age 54, of Minneapolis, died suddenly May 10, 2004. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Preceded in death by father, Ford Bodine. Survived by his loving wife, Nadine; children, Andrew and Nicolette; mother, Marian Bodine; brothers, Randy Frazier, Doug Bodine, and Dave Bodine; cherished nieces and nephews; loving in-laws, James and Dena Karigan, Jerry and Pamela Nelson, and Andrew Karigan. Stan was successful in both his personal and professional life. He served as Chief Executive Officer for 2nd Swing, Inc., at its Minnetonka headquarters, from 2000 until his death. Prior to assuming his post at 2nd Swing, Stan was President of Funco, Inc., a national retailer of electronic games. Stan also worked many years for the Pillsbury Company, where he held various positions in planning and international business, and oversaw the international expansion of the company's Haagen-Dazs subsidiary. He was graduated summa cum laude from Hamline University in 1972 and earned his MBA in finance and international business from Indiana University in 1974. He was recognized for outstanding achievement at Indiana with membership in the University's Beta Gamma Sigma chapter. Stan was a devoted father to his children. He spent hours coaching and supporting them in their favorite activities. He was also an avid participant in sports and fitness activities, and shared that interest with his family. He will always be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and loving care for family and friends. Visitation 5-7 PM Wednesday (TODAY) with 7 PM prayer service at Washburn- McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th St. & Vernon Ave at Hwy 100, Edina. Funeral service 12 noon Thursday at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, 35th & Irving Ave S., Mpls. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Luncheon at the church immediately following graveside service.
