Notes for: Ellen Jane Bodine

She was Ellen, 16, in 1850, Ellen Jane, 21, in 1855, Ellen J., 26, in 1860 and 28 in 1865. In 1865 she lived with her widowed mother and siblings and worked as a child dress maker.

Emily Bodine Scott was born 8 Feb 1867 to Jameson Scott & Ellen Jane Bodine and was baptized 11 Oct 1867.
George Wesley Scott was born 18 Sept 1868 to Jameson Scott & Ellen Jane Bodine and was baptized 29 Sept 1869.

Ellen died between 1877 when her daughter Mary was born and June 1880 when her husband stated he was widowed. There is no record of her death.

Jameson Scott of 133 Perry Str., New York City, tailor, formerly of England, was naturalized 15 Oct 1880 at the Common Pleas Court for New York County.

From New York Death Records:
Jameson Scott died 8 June 1905 in Manhattan, New York County, aged 67.
