Notes for: Sarah Ann Bodine

According to the August 1, 1889 edition of the "Guntersville Democrat," she died at her home on the "30th Mrs. Simeon F. Smith of that fell destroyer, consumption." Her family gives the death date as July 29, 1889.

From Marshall County, Alabama Marriage Records:
Simon F. Smith AND Sarah C. Bodine were married 25 Aug 1878 at the house of Wm. Bodine by Elder C. Faris.

Simeon Smith reported his occupation as farmer in the Marshall County censuses of 1880-1910. In 1900, he had been married to his 2nd wife, Mary, for 10 years.

Newspaper obituary from "The Guntersville Democrat" of 1 Aug 1889- "Died, at her home on the 30th, Mrs. Simeon F. Smith of that fell destroyer, consumption." Her family gives the date of her death as 29 July. Sarah Smith was buried in Smith Cemetery, Guntersville, Marshall County.

Simmion F. Smith, farmer, born 12 March 1855, died 5 Jan 1937 in Guntersville, Marshall County and was buried in Cowan Cemetery.
