A charming wedding was one of the features of dedication week in St. Louis, when Mr. Stacy Bodine, of Detroit, was united in marriage to Miss Pearl Ibers at the home of the bride's parents, 7000 Virginia avenue. [Note: The St. Louis (Mo.) Post-Dispatch of 5 April 1903 reported a shower was given for Miss Pearl Ibers for her upcoming marriage.]

Pearl Bodine, housewife, married, dau. of George M. Ibers, born 18 Sept 1877 in St. Louis, MO, died 20 March 1905 in Detroit, Wayne County, of acute hepatitis and childbirth and was buried in St. Louis.

The funeral of Mrs. Pearl Ibers Bodine took place from the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Ibers, 7000 Virginia avenue, Thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Bodine died at her home in Detroit, Mich., Monday evening from peritonitis. She was well known in St. Louis, where, before her marriage two years ago, she was a teacher in the Garfield school. She was a general favorite, and because of her sunny disposition had won many friends in Detroit, who will deeply feel her loss. At the funeral her bier was covered in sprays of flowers, the token of love from her friends, and many plants and fragrant blossoms filled the room. Mrs. Bodine left a little daughter only a week old. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Gauss, who officiated at the wedding ceremony of Mr. and Mrs. Bodine. The body was interred in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Stacy Bodine, 28, of Wayne Co., dept. manager, born in MO., son of John H. Bodine & Margaret Manne AND Kate Delavergne, 23, of Ovid, Michigan, born in Michigan, daughter of Leroy Delavergne & Mary Shepard were married 15 Dec 1906 in Detroit, by Charles H. Mockridge, Rector. His and her 2nd marriage.
In 1910, Stacy and Kate Bodine lived in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan where Stacy was the manager of a haberdashery. On 12 Sept 1918, Stacy Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Los Angeles. He reported he was born 22 Dec 1878, was employed as credit manager for Cooper, Coate & Casey of Los Angeles, and that Mrs. Katherine Bodine, of 2007 Ocean View avenue, Los Angeles, was his next of kin.
