Obituary, The St. Louis (MO) Star and Times of Tue., 15 Sept 1914.
Mrs. Lulu Fox, 43 years old, died at her home, 3906 Kennerly avenue, at 11 a.m. today under mysterious circumstances, and a Coroner's inquest will be held to ascertain the cause of death. Mrs. Robert Glassgo, who lives upstairs over the Fox flat, heard groans as she came downstairs and tried to gain entrance to the Fox flat. She said Mrs. Fox twice called out to her, "Wait a minute." She ran to a rear door and into Mrs. Fox's bedroom, where the latter was lying on the bed, foaming at the mouth. She died before a physician reached the house. Her husband, Adolph H. Fox, a printer, says death must have been due to natural causes as his wife had been in a good frame of mind when he left and their two grown children left the house at 7 a.m. to go to work.
