Harry Bodine was a carpenter by trade, never married and was buried in Springhill Cemetery, Danville. On 9 June 1917, Harry C. Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Danville, Illinois. He reported having been born 27 July 1894 in Kingman, Indiana, worked as a carpenter and was single.

Following a week's illness with pneumonia, Harry C. Bodine, 43, carpenter, died at his home, 718 Sheridan Street, at 2:26 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1936. Mr. Bodine had been a resident of Danville 26 years. He was a mason and had been employed by Hooton Lumber Company. Born July 27, 1891 at Kingman, Indiana, he was a son of Charles and Margaret Mayhew Bodine. The family moved to Danville when he was a boy, and had lived here since. Surviving are his mother, with whom he lived; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bireline, wife of Police Lieutenant Leo Bireline, and Mrs. Mae Gray, also of Danville. His father died four years ago. The body was taken to the residence from Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be at the home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. W. E. Keenan officiating. Burial in Springhill Cemetery.
