Notes for: Julia Bodine

In 1880, Julia Bodine, age 18, lived with and worked as a servant for D. J. and Elizabeth Blackwell in Hopewell, Mercer County. In June 1900, James and Julia Reed lived in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota where James was engaged as a barber. He reported that in 19 years of marriage his wife had borne 2 children, both then living. The couple lived all of their married lives in Minneapolis and James continued to work as a barber in his own shop. After the death of Julia he married Katherine with whom he was living in April 1930 in Minneapolis.

Children: Jesse (June 1885), James Earl (Sept 1891).
