The wedding of William R. Bodine to Miss Janet M. Toole, daughter of David Toole of Princeton at the Trinity Episcopal Church of Princeton was reported in The Hopewell Herald of 27 Sept 1950.

Lois Spence is the daughter of Benjamin C. and Elva S. (Leaman) Spence.

CHERRY HILL--Mrs. Janet Toole Bodine, 48, of 233 Heritage Road, died Saturday in Cooper Memorial Hospital, Camden. Formerly of Princeton, she had lived in Cherry Hill for the past eight years. She was a member of the Old Orchard Methodist Church. Mrs. Bodine is survived by her husband, William R. Bodine; a son, William J., twin daughters, Susan L. and Sandra L., all at home; a brother, David Toole, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Goelde and Mrs. Agnes Slover, all of Morrisville. Arrangements are being completed by the Cromwell Memorial Home of Hopewell.

MOORESVILLE -- Mr. Bodine, beloved husband, father and Christ follower, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Bill is survived by his wife, Lois Spence Bodine, his children, William J. Bodine and wife Terry of Lynchburg, VA, Susan B. Tatom and husband Andrew of Lynchburg, VA, Sandra L. Bodine of Bethesda, MD and stepchildren, Ben Work and wife Dorothy of Quarryville, PA, Ann Cherie Shoemaker and husband Stuart of Kirkwood, PA, Lisa Bucy and husband Derrick of Fort Mill, SC and former daughter-in-law, Nell C. Bodine of Forest, VA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, first wife Janet T. Bodine, grandson William W. Bodine, and stepson Richard S. Work. Prior to moving to Lake Norman area in 1983, Bill and Lois lived in Medford, NJ. Bill was born in Hopewell, NJ (1926). He graduated from Princeton High School (1944), enlisted in the Air Force (1945) and attended University of Buffalo and Purdue University. A celebration of his life will be held at Harbor PCA Church in Mooresville, NC on Saturday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Remembrance gifts may be made to Bill's home church of South Lake PCA/Stone Family Adoption or Hospice of Iredell County, NC. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home of Mooresville is assisting the Bodine Family.
