Notes for: Frederick ("Fred") Louis Bodine
I have the name here as Frederick Bodine, but it could just be Fred. RB said, "I found his WW2 registration from 1942 and again he said he was Fred and gave his full name as Fred Louis Bodine and in both WW1 and WW2 signed as Fred L. Bodine. Only the obit of his brother refers to him as Frederick all other sources call him Fred."
From Ronny Bodine (March 12, 2018):
Fred L. Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Trenton. He reported he had served in the New Jersey National Guard Infantry for 3 years, was single, worked as a paperhanger and was the sole support of his mother.

From New Jersey Death Records:
Fred L. Bodine of Trenton, Mercer County. died July 1960 in Hamilton Township, Mercer County.
Jessie Bodine of Trenton, Mercer County, died May 1961 in Hamilton Township. Mercer County.
In September 1925, Fred Bodine married Miss Jessie Gray in Trenton. From her 1961 obituary, it seems clear that Jessie was 1st married to a Gray and bore him 2 sons and 2 daughters. Yet, it appears Jessie Gray is identical with Lovie L. Welker who was born Sept 1889 in KY and was living 1900 in Stewart Co. TN. On 16 Aug 1906 in Stewart Co., TN Lovie Welker married Jesse V. Gray and in 1910 lived with him in Montgomery Co., TN: Jesse V. Gray 24 KY, Lovie L. 21 KY wife and Senora A. 2 TN dau. In 1920 the family lived in Davidson Co., TN: Jesse GRAY 33 KY car repairer-steam RR, Leona 30 KY wife, Adna 12 TN dau, Oscar 9 TN son, Clarence 5 TN son, Myrtle 11/12 TN dau.
The two sons named in her obituary were William Clarence Gray (1914-28 Sept 1983 in Trenton, NJ) and Oscar W. Gray and the daughters were Adna Senora Boyd (12 Aug 1908-16 June 1992, Montgomery Co., TN) wife of M. Dewey and Lorene McGee (20 Jan 1919-31 Dec 2001 Stewart Co., TN) wife of Lewis Henley McGee.
Since Jesse V. Gray died 12 July 1926 in Montgomery Co., TN, he and Lovey clearly were divorced as she married Fred in 1925. But why is she named Jessie?
