Margaret L. Bodine, 91, of Washington Boro, N.J., died Friday, November 28, 2003, in her home. Born: March 20, 1912 in Asbury, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Frank Bodine and the late Edna Rush. Personal: She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a bookkeeper and administrator for the Ava Maria Institute in Franklin Township for 30 years until she retired in 1977. She was one of the founders of the Blue Army Shrine under the direction of John Haffert. Earlier in her life, she had worked at the Asbury Graphite Mill. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1931. She can best be described as a caregiver. Her whole life was dedicated to loving and caring for her family. Memberships: She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors: a sister, Alice Kries, of Washington, N.J.; many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Joseph and Franklin, three sisters, Jane Hoppock, Ruth "Dolly" Rounsville, and Elizabeth Hoppock, and two half brothers, Robert and Fletcher, all died earlier. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, N.J. Call from 1 p.m. until time of service Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Asbury Methodist Cemetery, Asbury, N.J. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church, 116 East Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
