John Bodine was living 1920-1930 with his family in Bayview, Bayfield County, Wisconsin where he was engaged as a fisherman. The Duluth (Minn.) News-tribune of 16 Feb 1919 reported that J. O. Bodin had been elected president of the newly created Commercial Fisherman's Association which would represent the fishermen of Michigan and Wisconsin.
