In 1920-1930, George and Mable Culver lived in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas where George worked in 1920 as a salesman in a paint store and 1930 as a shipping clerk for a wallpaper and paint company. Harriet Culver was buried 20 May 1942 in Highland Cemetery, Wichita, Sedgwick County.

Rites for Man, 78, Wichita Resident since 1894, Set Funeral services for George Earl Culver, 78, of 1351 N. Poplar, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Broadway Mortuary. Mr. Culver died Monday at his home. He was employed at Parrott's Wallpaper & Paint Store for 50 years. He retired in 1956. He was born Sept. 2, 1881, at Sheffield, Iowa, and came to Wichita from Sheffield in 1894. He married Emma Leota Shaw Sept. 21, 1952, at Wichita. He formerly resided for 33 years at 1837 S. Water. He was a member of Brotherhood Presbyterian Church. Survivors besides his wife include a son, William, El Cajon, Calif.; six stepdaughters, Mrs. Bonnie Doherty, 1345 N. Poplar, Mrs. Richard Iliff, Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Charles F. Miller, 840 Lexington Rd., Mrs. Ken Schonberger, St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Kenneth Pinkstaff, 5002 Bleckley Court, and Mrs. Carl Blevins, Fredonia, Kan.; a step! son, Robert Combs, Des Moines, Iowa; and four grandchildren. The Rev. Orville Mick, associate pastor of Broadway Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery. Pallbearers will be W. A. Botts, Roy Patterson, Charles Gooch, Carl Beck, John Cain and Glenn Moser.
Children: Berdine (b. 1906, d. 1907), William (1914).
