Charles L. "Chuck" Bodine, 53, of New Berlin died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Gridley Lake in Cass County. He was born Dec. 25, 1945, in Berlin, the son of Earl M. and Beulah Baker Bodine. He married Jeanenne Dudley in 1965 in Berlin. Mr. Bodine was employed by the secretary of state's office for more than 14 years. He was a member of Berlin Christian Church, a former Republican precinct committeeman, former New Berlin Boy Scout troop leader and a retired member of the New Berlin Jaycee's. Survivors: wife, Jeanenne; a son, Jeffrey C. Bodine of New Berlin; three daughters, Wendy (husband, John) Power of New Berlin, Julie (husband, Jeffrey) Mueller of Farmersville, and Carla (husband, John) Albert of New Berlin; six grandchildren; mother, Beulah Bodine of Berlin; four brothers, James (wife, Barbara) Bodine, and Glen (wife, Marlene) Bodine, both of Berlin, Phillip (wife, Betty) Bodine of Pleasant Plains, and Robert (wife, Beth) Bodine of Petersburg; two sisters, June (husband, Jim) Koontz of Hillsboro, and Joyce (husband, Bill) Corgan of Berlin; and many nieces and nephews. Services: 11 am. Saturday, Berlin Christian Church, the Rev. Jon Morrissette officiating. Burial: Berlin Cemetery, Berlin. McCullough-Delaney Funeral Home in New Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
Jeanenne is the daughter of Gilbert A. and Esta Maude (Davenport) Dudley.
