Obituary, Nelson County Record (Bardstown, KY) of Friday, 27 June 1902.
Mr. John David Bodine died very suddenly at his home near Camp Ground, in this county, Monday afternoon. Mr. Bodine was seemingly in perfect health and had spent the day attending to his usual duties. In the afternoon he complained of feeling badly and lay down; in a few moments he expired. His death was due to heart trouble and the news of his demise was a shock to the community. Mr. Bodine was about fifty years of age, a prominent farmer and a man loved and respected by all who knew him. He is survived by a wife and four daughters. The funeral took place at Camp Ground Church on Tuesday. Rev. H. F. Lloyd, of the Christian
Church, Springfield, conducted the services.
