Willard Franklin Bodine, son of Eli and Hazel Bodine, was born March 11, 1915 near Wellington, Kans. At a young age he moved with his family to DeKalb County, where he lived until Jan. 7, 1978. His parents and brothers, Leon and Albert, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Bertha McCrea Bodine, whom he married in 1946; a sister, Grace Ray, Ottawa, Kans.; and brothers, Eli, Paola, Kans., and Raymond, Hutchison, Kans.; three nephews and two nieces. Bill, as he was commonly known, was a member of the Maysville Methodist Church, the Fairport Lions Club and the Stewartsville American Legion. He served in the Sixth Division of the Army during World War II. Bill lived on the happy side of life. He learned to put that life into practice. It enhanced his personality. MAYSVILLE, Mo.--Services for Bertha Bodine, 67, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bram chapel here. The Rev. James Holt will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitors will be received from 7 until 8:30 this evening at the chapel. A lifelong Maysville community resident, Mrs. Bodine had been employed in the office of Doctors McDonald and McClure as a receptionist. She died Monday at a Cameron, Mo., hospital.
