Reporting the wedding on 22 June of Jimmy Wayne Bodine and Miss Martha Louise Womack at the East Side Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Coats officiating. Miss Sherry Bodine, cousin of the groom, was maid of honor. Harvey Dee Bodine, uncle of the groom, was best man.

Jimmy W. Bodine, 74, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away June 15, 2023 at his home in Mount Vernon with his family by his side. He was born July 9, 1948 in Mount Vernon, to the late Harry Bodine and Wanda Sinks. Jimmy married Martha "Marty" Womack on June 22, 1968 in Mount Vernon. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Marty, of 54 years; children, Jessica Cameron and husband, Warren of Mount Vernon and Andrew Bodine and wife, Sheri of Bonnie, Illinois; 18 Grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; sisters, Carolyn Gajewski of Richview, Illinois and Bonnie Miller of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his in laws, Naomi and Carl Womack; children, Mathew Bodine and Jody Bodine; and brothers-in-law, Richard Gajewski and Gene Miller. Jimmy loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois with Reverend Rodney Mellott.
