Beulah O. Sweet, age 88 of Monroe, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Tendercare of Monroe. She had been in poor health for a year. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Robert Baltrip, pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born December 31, 1921 in Maybee, Michigan, she was the daughter of John and Muriel (James) Bodine. Beulah married Carl B. Sweet June 14, 1941 in Milan, Michigan. He died November 12, 1988. She was a graduate of Airport High School and a member of East Raisinville United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Keith (Diane) Sweet of Maybee and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Sweet of Newport; four daughters, Janet (Douglas) Crego of Maybee, Karen (Greg) Murphy of Carleton, LeeAnn (Marcus) Wells of Monroe, and Marilyn (Richard) Angerer of Carleton; a brother, Charles (Shirley) Bodine of Monroe; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Sweet of Milan; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Carl, Beulah was preceded in death by a son, Gary Sweet; two brothers, John and Harold Bodine; a sister, JoAnn Francisco, and three grandsons, Mark, Keith, and Jason Sweet.
