On 12 Sept 1918, Russell Harry Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Monroe County, Michigan. He reported he was born 17 Dec 1881, was a self-employed farmer, and that Maria Bodine of Maybee was his next of kin. In 1920-1930, Harry Bodine lived with his widowed mother and siblings in London Township, Monroe County. He never married.

MAYBEE-Harry R. Bodine, 83, of 8899 Stone rd. died at 7:30 last night in his home. He had been seriously ill six months. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Liedel Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 tonight. The Rev. Clarence Burkhard of the Maybee Congregational Church will officiate, and burial will be in Northside Cemetery. Born Dec. 17, 1881, in Raisinville Township, he was the son of Charles and Marie Bodine. He was a farmer all his life. Survivors are a brother, Curtis and three sisters, the Misses Dorothy and Grace Bodine and Mrs. Rose Kellie, allof Maybee. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
