Notes for: John Bodine
I had his birth date as Oct. 18, 1893, but his WWI draft info gives it as Oct. 5, 1895. I'll go with that.
From Ronny Bodine:
He is probably identical with John Bodine who registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Camden County, New Jersey. He reported that he was born 5 Oct 1895 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
From Records of St. Marcus Mission Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philadelphia.
Married John Bodine (born 22 Nov 1895, New Brunswick, N.J) and Johanna R. Schnier (born 22 May 1896, N.Y.C.) on 31 Jan 1923.
In 1920, John, Mary and Charles Bodine lived in Philadelphia in the home of his brother Charles. John was employed as a chauffeur. In 1930, John and Johanna Bodine lived in Nutley, Essex County, New Jersey where John managed a trucking company. Though having been married for 7 years, the couple had no children as yet. His New Jersey death certificate (no. 2097) reported that he was the son of John Bodine, mother unknown, was employed as Plant Superintendent of the Camden Brewery and was buried in New Camden Cemetery. The informant was Nan [Johanna] Bodine.
