STARBUCK - Howard J. Bodine, 81, died Tuesday at Starwood Home in Starbuck. A service will be at 11 a.m. today at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood. Memorials are preferred to Pope County Hospice in Glenwood. He was born May 21, 1927, in Chicago to Fred and Lois (Shaw) Bodine. He lived with his parents until 1945. He moved to Fairbault, where he lived until 1967, when he moved to the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. In 1978, he moved to Project New Hope group home in Starbuck which is now Prairie Community Services. He worked at DT&H in Starbuck. He attended Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. He is survived by his brother-in-law: Dwight Olson; nieces: Ann Johnson and Linda (and Dean) Hughes; and a nephew: Lou Olson. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
