Obituary, St. Louis Post-Dispatch (St. Louis, Mo.) of 29 Jan 2006.
Bodine, John Charles, passed away January 3rd of natural causes at the VA hospital in Barstow, California. He was 82. Born and raised in St Louis, he joined the Navy during World War II. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis he owned and operated Bodine Construction Company. As a subcontractor he left his footprint in and around St Louis. He enjoyed trout fishing, socializing and living life to the fullest. He never looked back. He is survived by his 3 children, Travis, Kevin and Judy; along with 2 grandchildren and his siblings. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held in the spring in St. Louis.

Hurd, Helen V. May 15, 2014. Born Nov. 28, 1923 in Champaign, IL; graduated from U. of Illinois with a degree in Home Economics in 1943. Moved to St. Louis on a Jr. Executive Training Program in Merchandising for Stix Baer & Fuller. Married and had 3 children, John Travis (Carmen) Bodine, Kevin Allen Bodine and his son Brian Oliver, Judith Ann (Kevin) Kirkpatrick, their son Glenn and daughter Chelsea. A member of Kappa Delta Sorority Alumni Association for 60 plus years. Active in Girl Scouts. Her body will be cremated. No church or Memorial Services. Memorials may be made to Affton Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 9625 Tesson Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123.

Helen Hurd was the daughter of Harold J. and Vera M. Hurd.
