She was aged 18 in 1850 living with her parents in Cattaraugus County. In 1852, Miss Mary E. Berdine of East Randolph appears as a student of the Middle Class at the Randolph Academy and Ladies Seminary, Cattaraugus County. Mary was not living with her parents at the time of the June 1855 NY state census.
