1st marriage--1950--MARY THERESA CAPOZZI.
The marriage of George Bodine to Mary Capozzi, daughter of Vito Capozzi, at St. Francis Church in Auburn, was reported in the Syracuse Herald-Journal of 6 March 1950. The couple later divorced and Mary married Bernard W. Osterman (1914-2001).

Mary (Capozzi - Bodine) Osterman April 24, 1925 - January 2, 2025
A lifelong resident of Auburn NY. Mary was the oldest of 7. She graduated from Central High class 1943. She loved Bowling, her exercise classes, coffee with the girls and most of all her family. She never hesitated to drop what she was doing for a ride in the boat or the promise of a good time. She was a great cook, made time for everyone and was exceptionally strong in her faith. After retiring from Prudential as the office manager she spent 21 great winters with husband Bernie (deceased2001) in Melbourne, Florida. She was a communicate of St Francis of Assisi church and was a past officer of the Rosary Altar Society at St Aloysius. She is survived by one son, George Bodine. Her siblings Angela who lives in Weedsport and Nick lives in St. Louis. 15 grandchildren & their spouses and several great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Bernie in 2001, sister Lucy and her husband Nunzio, her brothers and spouses John and Mildred. Anthony and Mary, and Pat and Kay. Her two step daughters Karen and husband Jack and Jean. In-laws Donald and Arlene. Family and friend are invited to attend her Mass of Christian burial Thursday January 9, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. in St. Francis Church 299 Clark St. Calling hour are from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. preceding her Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider in donating in Mary's name to St. Albert the Great Academy or to the meals on wheels of Cayuga County. SCIPIO---Services for Mrs. Frances Bodine, 30, of Burtless Road, Moravia RD, who was killed Thursday in a car-truck collision, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wade Funeral Home in Moravia. Burial will be Indian Mount Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p m Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs Bodine was born in Moravia and for 10 years had lived on Burtless Road, in the Town of Sciplo. Surviving are her husband, George, a son George Jr., a daughter, Shirley, her father Stanley Mead of Munnsville, her mother, Mrs Elizabelh Maynard of Maryland, a brother, Paul Mead of Moravia, and three sisters Mrs Laura Snyder of Maryland, Mrs. Karin Hemline of Auburn and Mrs. Ruth Hernson of Whalesville.

George H. Bodine, 75, of East Drive, Coopers Trailer Park, Auralius, died Sunday of a heart attack. Born in Owasco, he lived most of his life in Scipio before moving to Auburn in 1981. He retired in 1981 as a self-employed farmer, truck driver and lawnmower repairman. He raised kosher rabbits and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 96, Auburn. His wife, the former Frances Mead, died in 1969. Survivors: A daughter, Shirley Bodine of Auburn; a son, George of Genoa; three sisters, Doris Snover of Aurora, Marjorie Pearce of Auburn and Ida Bankam of Arizona; a brother, Harry of Moravia; two grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wade Funeral Home. Burial, Indian Mound Cemetery. Calling hours, 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 22 Church St., Moravia.
