Mr. Charles Alvin Lacy, 80, passed away on September 4, 2018. Mr. Lacy, originally from Ladonia, Texas, was known for his love of family, country, church, and cars. He served 4 year in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from East Texas State University. He worked for Chevrolet Motor Division where he retired as the National Marketing Manager. He then joined Hendrick Automotive Group and helped grow that organization to one of the most influential groups in the automotive business. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Paula, his two sons, Chris and Chad and their wives Dale and Nikki, and three grandkids, Sean, Addison, and Cade. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines, NC. A memorial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Pinehurst. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Pinehurst, the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital Abdominal Transplant Program, or FirstHealth Palliative Care. Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst.
