Gene C. Paschall, age 78, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Odessa, Texas. He was born August 30, 1932 in Lakeview, TX to Macom William Paschall Sr. and Florence (Wallace) Paschall. Gene loved being with his family, hunting birds and traveling. He was active with the Boy Scouts and was a "Methodist Man". He retired from Sid Richardson Gasoline Company after 32 years of service. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons: Tony Paschall and wife Gwen of Rushville, IL and Jim Paschall and wife Leigh Anne of Kermit, TX; one brother: F.T. (T-Bone) Paschall of Borger, TX; four sisters: Marie Mayhugh of Garland, TX; Becky Bruce and husband Boyce of Memphis, TX; Willie (Bill) Murle Adams and husband Warren of Amarillo, TX and Betty Sue Scott and husband Bill of Longview, TX; five grandchildren: Sharee, Starla, Tiarra, Mike and Jarred and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Paschall; his parents: William and Florence Paschall; one son: David; brothers: Raymond; Macom William Jr. and Alfred Lee and one sister: Irene (Pat) Bryant. Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Kermit with Brother Brian McGonagill officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jack Bearden, Greg Hollingshead, Preston Cherry, Dub King, Mark Terry and Gerald Chapman. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jodie Barker ad Curtis Clark. Interment will follow at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House of Odessa, 903 Sam Houston, Odessa, TX, 79761. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor.
