Philadelphia---Requiem high mass for Louis A. DeLuca, 42, proprietor of the DeLuca Flower Shop at 16 Haddon Ave., Westmont, will be Monday at 10 a.m., in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 17th and Morris Streets here. Friends and relatives will meet an hour earlier in the Gangemi Funeral Home, Broad and Wolf Streets, where they may call tomorrow night after 7 o'clock. Entombment will be in Chelten Abbey, Philadelphia. Mr. DeLuca, who died Thursday in the Northern Division of West Jersey Hospital, Camden, resided at 8 Silvertop Lane, Cherry Hill. A florist for 17 years, he operated his own flower shop for four years. A native of South Philadelphia, he was a member of the South-Western Assembly 18, South Philadelphia chapter, and the Artisans. He was a member of the Cherry Hill Lions, and the Allen Irvin Morgan American Legion Post 230 of Westmont. Surviving are his wife, Agnes; his father, Joseph A. DeLuca Sr.; three brothers and two sisters.

GIACOBONI, Rocco G. "Jock" On October 6, 2009, of Voorhees, NJ. Age 86. Beloved husband of Agnes L. (nee Bodine-DeLuca). Dear father of Robert (Gwen) Giacoboni, Joseph (Patricia) Giacoboni, Donna (Edward) Proudfoot. Loving grandfather of 4, Rachel Britt, Julia Giacoboni, Emily Proudfoot, Robert G. Giacoboni, great-grand-father of 1, William Britt. Jock served three years in the US Navy during the WW II conflict. He was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 15031 and a member of The American Legion Post 372 of Cherry Hill. Jock worked at RCA Camden for 43 years in the Engineering Project Administration Dept. He worked on many Apollo Space Communications Projects and received numerous commendations from NASA. Jock was Past President of the Cherry Hill Lions Club and Past President of The Westmont Lions Club. Jock enjoyed meeting friends every morning at the Berlin Shop Rite for coffee and conversation. Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewing and funeral on Saturday morning from 10:00am to to 11:00am at the Catholic Community of Christ Our Light (formerly St. Peter Celestine Church), 402 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00am. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. Arrangements by THE BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, Cherry Hill, NJ.

Agnes Lucy DeLuca Giacoboni, nee Bodine, passed peacefully December 5, 2024, eight days shy of her 93 birthday. Agnes was born December 13, 1931 to Edward and Rose (Peraino) Bodine at the family home in Moorestown, NJ. Agnes grew up in the Lenola section of Moorestown, graduating in 1950 from Moorestown High School. In 1955 she married Louis DeLuca and soon after they opened DeLuca's Flower Shop in Westmont, NJ. Together, they operated the flower shop until Agnes lost her first love, Louis, in 1968. After Lou's untimely death, Agnes continued to run the flower shop on her own into the 1980's. After retiring, Agnes, was active in various civic groups volunteering to help coordinate regular senior citizen dance events. Agnes was active with the Moorestown High School reunion committee. She was also a member of the Virtua Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. In 1979 at age 47, Agnes was swept off her feet by Rocco "Jock" Giacoboni of Voorhees. They married later that year. Agnes and Jock were regulars on the dance floor during their 30 years of marriage until Jock passed away in 2009. After Jock's passing Agnes returned to her longtime home in Cherry Hill where she remained until recently moving to Brightview Senior Living in Marlton. Agnes was looked after by the Wellspring Village care team and Vitaility Hospice. Agnes leaves behind her brother-in-law Amodea DeLuca, cousins, Dolores Alterie, Celestine Di Pietro, Joseph Peraino, Rita Peraino, a number of second cousins as well as a host of friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Agnes's viewing on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10-11am at Christ Our Light Church (formerly St. Peter Celestine), 402 Kings Highway N, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, where Mass will follow at 11am. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Agnes name to American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org. or Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.
