She was Celestia Bodine, age 3 and Selestia Bodine, age 13, in 1850 and 1860 respectively, living with her parents in Amwell Township, Hunterdon County. In 1880-1900, William and Celeste Lewis lived in Raritan Township, Hunterdon County engaged in farming. In 1900, William reported that in 31 years of marriage his wife had borne 4 children of whom 3 were then living. In 1920, William and Celeste Lewis lived in Hopewell, Mercer County.

WASHINGTON CROSSING, N.J., April 6.--William Lewis, one of the oldest residents of this vicinity, died this morning at his home here, following an illness due to complications. Mr. Lewis, who was 83 years old, had been a resident of this vicinity practically all of his life. For a number of years he resided at the old historical Bear Tavern property, on the Pennington Road, previous to moving to his late home here. Besides his widow, her is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William LaRue and Mrs. Anna M. Everingham, and one son, Theodore Lewis. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from his late home here. Interment will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Titusville, N.J., under direction of Hunt.

WASHINGTON CROSSING, N.J. Jan. 6--The funeral of Mrs. Celeste Lewis, who died Friday, was held from her late home, this place, yesterday afternoon. Interment was in the Titusville Methodist Cemetery, under direction of Farley D. Hunt.
Children: Theodore (c1870), Mary B. (c1872), Anna E. (c1874), Lucella (c1877).
