The Sexton family was living 1870 in Trenton, Mercer County, and in 1880 in Chambersburg, Mercer County, New Jersey where Joseph was engaged as a carpenter. In 1900, the family was again living in Trenton. At that time Sarah reported she had borne 8 children of who 6 were then living.

Joseph M. Sexton, age 83 years, died today at the home of Albert D. Dillingham, his son-in-law, of 117 Genesee street. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Dillingham home. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery under the direction of Ashmore and Margerum.

SEXTON---In this city, on the 20th inst., Sarah H., widow of Joseph M. Sexton, in the 87th year of her age. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from the residence of her son, Harry P. Sexton, No. 818 Quinton Avenue, on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
