The 1920 census records Italy as the birthplace for Joseph Nini, but that of 1930 states it was New Jersey, of parents born in Italy. But in 1920, the family's immigration is given as 1904, the year of Joseph's birth.

Joe Nini AND Evelyn Bodine were married 25 Sept 1926 in Doylestown, Bucks County, by Irvin M. James, District Justice.

Joe and Evelyn Nini were living 1930 in East Windsor Township, Mercer County where Joe worked as a house painter.

On 16 Oct 1940, Joseph Charles Nini of Princeton, New Jersey registered for the World War II Draft. He reported he was born 27 Nov 1904 in Genoa, Italy, worked for Morris Maple of Princeton, and named his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Millcent Nini, as his next of kin.

EAST WINDSOR--Joseph C. Nini, 86, died Tuesday at The Medical Center at Princeton, Princeton Borough. Born in Italy, Mr. Nini had been a Cranbury resident before moving to East Windsor 12 years ago. He was a painting foreman for Morris Maple & Son in Princeton for 30 years, and in 1969, he retired from RCA in East Windsor as a painting foreman after 10 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Nini; a son, Joseph C. Nini Jr. of East Windsor; a daughter, Norma J. Hall of East Windsor; two brothers. Carmen Nini of Morrisville, Pa., and Anthony Nini of sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret Cornell of Lawrence and Edith Yannelli of Hamilton; a grandson, Robert Barlow of East Windsor; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury. father Patrick Castles, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown, will officiate. Burial will be in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. Calling houirs will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Windsor Rescue Squad, District 1, P.O. Box 784, One Mile Road Rxtension, East Windsor, N.J. 08520.

EAST WINDSOR -- Evelyn M. Nini died Monday at home. Born in Dayton, she was a lifelong area resident. Wife of the late Joseph C. Nini Sr. and mother of the late Norma Hall and Joseph Jr., she is survived by a son-in-law, R. Tracy Hall of Charlottesville, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Cornell and Garrie Schlegel of Trenton; a brother-in-law and his wife, Carmen and Wilma Nini of Yardley, Pa.; a grandson and his wife, Robert and Cheryl Barlow; two great-grandchildren, Robert and Beth Barlow; a family friend, Helen Schuessler; and nieces and nephews. Funeral will be private. Burial will be in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Princeton Hospice, 208 Bunn Drive, Princeton, N.J. 08540. Arrangements are by A.S. Cole Son and Co., Cranbury.
