Mrs. Bodine told Coroner Elmer Erickson, who pronounced the man dead, that her husband suffered the attack while she was driving the car on the main highway. Errickson pronounced Mr. Bodine dead after the Point Pleasant first aid squad and Dr. J. Bruce Henricksen, this place, worked over him for 30 minutes in an unsuccessful effort to revive him. The business is located there today. He served as coroner for several terms, in 1932 topping a field of six candidates when he was elected. Three years before that he had opposed William R. O'Brien, then chief clerk in the sheriff's office, in the Republican shrievalty primary. O'Brien won the nomination and was later elected.
